We have been snowed in for a week. Fortunately we have had power in my part of the icy west Tennessee world. Just before everything froze Jessie and Ava chose four patterns and the fabrics for each one. I have been happily sewing all week.

Below are some in progress shots and a couple of finishes.

Kaffe fabric made into Violet Field Threads' Maude without a collar or sleeves.

White picque cut on the bias trims the neck, arm, and hem.

VFT's Elowen in progress.

This is the back of the Elowen top. I love the V neckline in the back.

Jessie suggested the stripes go horizontal on the top. I lined the top and cap sleeves with a soft mint that matches one of the stripes.

Vertical stripes on the skirt make a striking contrast.

I added a sash of the mint fabric when I sewed the skirt to the top. Then I whipped the sash in place.

Mint hem detail sewn on to finish the dress.

Can't wait to see Miss A in these dresses.

Happy Sewing
